Computer scientist by major, trombonist by heart. I build software the way I play — precise underneath, effortless on the surface.

01About

Talent opened the door.
Work kept me in the room.

I picked up the trombone in 6th grade and never put it down — honor bands, a summer marching The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps (2024), and now section leader of Furman's Paladin Regiment.

I came to Furman as a music major, but I already knew Computer Science was something I was good at — and I genuinely liked it. Building things, solving problems, watching logic click into place. I committed to it just as seriously, adding a Data Analytics minor because I wanted to take something complex and learn how it holds together — not just building something, but understanding whether it actually works.

The longer version

Where it all comes from.

My story starts before me — in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where my mom grew up one of eight kids. She came to the U.S. on her own, earned a Master's in Chemical Engineering, and became a Spanish teacher — raising me largely by herself and putting me through school along the way. Everything I do runs on what she built.

I picked up the trombone in 6th grade. The band room is where I actually learned leadership: a director who handed me real responsibility early and expected me to grow into it. I never left it after that — marching band since 7th grade, section leader in college, and a summer on tour with The Cavaliers in DCI's 2024 season.

Outside music and computer science, it's travel and time with people I love.

In May 2025 I studied music across Italy — La Scala in Milan, Teatro La Fenice in Venice. I went for the music history, but it was the culture that got me. I think about that trip all the time — I love Italy.

I started college as a music major, then committed just as fully to Computer Science, adding a Data Analytics minor — taking on something complex and learning how it holds together. That path led to summer research on self-hosted LLMs, and now internships at Verow and Agreeable Data.

What I Make

I build things because I want them to exist — simple, self-hosted, mine end to end. Still figuring out the best way to do that. This is what I've got so far.

SpeakEazy

Self-hosted AI dictation for macOS — hold a key, speak, get clean formatted text in any app. No cloud, no API keys: Parakeet ASR + a local LLM, entirely on-device.

Foil — a minimal wrapper for Claude Code

A minimal macOS desktop wrapper for Claude Code — a native window with zero chrome, just the agent. Early build, in active development.

Trombone Transcriber

MicPlay into it — no setup, just listen.
Audio → PitchRaw signal gets analyzed for fundamental frequency in real time.
NotationPitch becomes real notes on a staff, built by a trombonist.

(Working prototype coming soon.)

Let's build something.
Or play something.

Software, sound, or somewhere in the middle — let's talk.
